It is hard to say exactly when I was first introduced to yoga , but I knew immediately that it would be a lifelong practice. For me it is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, the key to unity of the mind and body. My practice was strongly independent at first, following the natural movement of my body and instinct. I completed my RYT-200 teacher training in 2015 at Updog Yoga where the idea that ‘we are each our own best teacher’ was reinforced as I studied Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga. My love of yoga soon transitioned into a desire to share what I have learned and experienced with those around me. Besides yoga, my heart stays full from swimming in Lake Superior, playing in the snow, and exploring the outdoors!
