“I was introduced to yoga as a child and again in college yet regularly began practicing five years ago when marathon training took its toll on my body. Working with children for 17 years as a public school speech-language pathologist communication, compassion and teamwork are my strengths. I am the mother of two girls who are 12 and 8 and they are the reasons I am driven to follow my passions and live a healthy lifestyle. I have seen the benefits of yoga first-hand in my daughter’s whether it’s watching them breathe through difficult situations, embracing a sunrise or challenging themselves to grow. Training in Yoga Calm is also part of my background which believes in the power of breath, building community, a developmental sequence of poses and mindfulness. I am humbled and excited to lead and facilitate the bond of parent/child during my classes. In a fast-paced world where instant gratification and social media are the norm, I look forward to building lifelong skills that foster inner strength while building community, self-confidence, balance and creativity.”
